How Gen Z Was Hyper-Engineered By Algorithms
Gen Z isn't "lazy," nor are they just "delicate snowflakes." It's time to look at the actual psychological infrastructure of the cohort aged 14 to 29.
Gen Z is the first generation in human history to have their developmental milestones fully outsourced to an automated algorithm. We built a digital panopticon, handed 10-year-olds the keys, and now have the audacity to wonder why an unknown phone call causes a collective panic attack. They aren't broken by nature—they are hyper-engineered by design.
In this episode of Sober Psychology, I'm breaking down how culture is lying to Gen Z, how hyper-individualism took over, why clinical therapy language has been weaponized for isolation, and what happens when a generation swaps out a sovereign God for a curated internet timeline. You can't heal what you refuse to look at honestly.
💬 Do you think "therapy speak" helps Gen Z communicate, or is it being used to isolate people? Let’s debate it in the comments below!
