Gen Z Mistakes Discomfort For Danger

We’ve taught an entire generation to mistake basic human discomfort for actual danger.

If an interaction requires emotional labor, it’s immediately labeled "toxic." If a friend holds you accountable or calls out bad behavior, they’re "violating your peace." If a job asks you to perform under pressure, it’s deemed an "unsafe environment."

By pathologizing the normal, gritty friction of human relationships and hard work, Gen Z is accidentally building their own solitary confinement. The reality is simple: you cannot build psychological resilience in a padded room where every challenge is banned and every uncomfortable boundary is treated like an attack.

💬 Is avoiding "discomfort" actually protecting our mental health, or is it making us hyper-fragile? Drop your perspective in the comments—I read and reply to everyone!
